AI Driven Backend Developer

That's why we're looking for an AI Driven Backend Developer to help design and build our backend systems and AI functionalities. You'll collaborate with other developers, product owners, and architects on our Embrace Suite — think AI agents, smart automation, data processing, APIs, and backend services that power our products.

What will you be doing?
As an AI Driven Backend Developer, you'll work at the core of our systems and architecture. You will:

• Develop and maintain backend services within our .NET microservices architecture.

• Build and integrate AI functionalities into our backend (LLMs, RAG, agents).

• Design scalable and secure APIs (GraphQL and REST).

• Work on data pipelines and processing for AI applications.

• Build and optimize AI agents and workflow automation.

• Integrate MCP functionality and other AI infrastructure into our systems.

• Experiment with new AI technologies and translate them into production-ready solutions.

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to deliver features end-to-end.

Additionally, you will:

• Take responsibility for code quality and maintainability.

• Review colleagues' code and actively contribute to quality improvement.

• Work in Scrum with rituals such as standups, refinements, and retrospectives.

Our backend consists of .NET microservices, connected via a GraphQL gateway and running in a scalable cloud environment.

What we expect from you:

• Extensive experience with backend development (C#, .NET).

• Experience with API development (REST and/or GraphQL).

• Experience with Docker and Git.

• Experience with databases (preferably SQL Server or Azure SQL).

AI & modern development:

• Experience with AI development and LLM applications.

• Experience with frameworks such as Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar tooling.

• Experience with RAG systems and/or AI agents.

• Experience with Azure AI services or comparable platforms.

Approach & mindset:

• You work AI-natively: tools such as Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools are part of your daily workflow.

• You think in scalable architectures and sustainable solutions.

• You are eager to learn and keep a close eye on new developments.

• You communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating.

• You are based in the Netherlands.
